Talent Medal of Korea
The Talent Medal of Korea or Presidential Talent Medal of Korea (abbreviated to KTM as the post-nominal) ((朝鮮語:대통령 대한민국인재상)) was an award bestowed by the President of the Republic of Korea between 2008 and 2013. It recognizes those individuals who have performed exemplary talents or outstanding meritorious service.
== History of the award==
President Lee Myung-bak established the medal award for Talented Korean Citizens with quota of 100 per annum. This had been started awarded in 2008.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 Announcement for Establishment of Talent Medal of Korea )〕 Before this medal, Award for Outstanding Talent who will lead 21st Century had been awarded from 2001 and 2008 by former Presidents of Korea, before the President Lee Myung-bak.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 President H.E. This presidential medal is now discontinued, because of many number of severe critiques from non-scientists and politicians, who criticized this award is mostly bestowed to scientists and inventors.
